The Juniorate Community of the Philippine-Australia-Saipan Province was founded on June 1, 2003. The Sisters rented a modest house along Palico 1 Street, Imus, Cavite for three years. They transferred to the newly-constructed Juniorate House in Imus, on December 20, 2006 at a lot adjacent to Jesus Good Shepherd School.
The house is the dwelling place of the temporarily professed Sisters, who after two years of apostolic experiences are recalled to the Formation House for their formal studies and continuous discernment of their vocation to the Congregation of the Pastorelle Sisters. These young Sisters either enroll in Philosophy or Theology classes in nearby seminaries. Some perpetually professed Sisters who also continue their formal studies are assigned in this community. The Sisters have pastoral involvement in Jesus Good Shepherd School as Religion Teachers and in nearby parishes as part-time pastoral workers.
The first group of the Juniorate Community was composed of two perpetually professed and three temporarily professed Sisters. After 10 years, the life of the Sisters of the Juniorate Community has evolved. At present the four Juniors enrolled at the Don Bosco Center of Studies in Parañaque City are in the last semester of their theological studies. Sisters Florentina Bataclan and Evangeline Dolores are in-charge of the formation of Catechists of the Annunciation Parish at Pasong Camachile, General Trias, Cavite, while Sisters Marnie Cabiles and Junlyn Maragañas collaborate with Rev. Fr. Lordencio Honrada, Pastoral Administrator of St. James the Greater Pastoral Center at Buhay na Tubig, Imus City, Cavite. They help in the formation of the youth, give communion to the sick and assist in the preparation of the Parish Liturgy. They also conduct Religion classes to the high school students of Jesus Good Shepherd School and are actively involved in the curricular activities of JGSS as club moderators.
More perpetually professed Sisters are assigned in the community to give the young ones varied fraternal and apostolic experiences which have surely enriched everyone. They are: Sr. Doris Arcon, as Religion Coordinator and Grade 3 Christian Living teacher; Sr. Flora Salimbagat, as coordinator of the maintenance personnel and High School Music teacher, Sr. Bonafe Agawin, as assistant to everybody, and Sr. Narcisa Peñaredonda, as community animator and formator of the young Sisters. Occasionally, the community members are invited to give talks, lectures and recollections to students and school workers. They also lend a hand to the Cathedral Parish on special celebrations.
Striking the balance in living the four wheels: piety, study, apostolate and community life, the Sisters strive together to show welcoming attitude to all, give authentic witnessing to everybody and manifest joyful disposition everywhere.
