Considering the close link between the family and the consecrated life, we wanted to celebrate the 80th Foundation Anniversary with our respective families. The family is the seedbed of vocation and the family helps to sustain the religious vocation and mission of the consecrated persons.

Thus on 27 October 2018, we celebrated the 80th Anniversary of our Congregation together with our respective families in the Broadway, Quezon City compound. The highlight of the day was the Eucharistic celebration, presided by Fr. Paul Gungon. In his homily, he stressed the importance of the role of the family in the vocational journey of priests and religious. In the concrete day to day experience of following Jesus, we are invited to always focus on Him, to cultivate love and passion and to accept suffering as part of the journey in our vocation and mission.
In the short program that followed after the Eucharistic Celebration, Sr. Arsenia Estrada, the Provincial superior expressed her gratitude to the families of the sisters who continue to sustain and encourage the sisters in the fidelity and in deepening ever more of their respective vocation as Pastorelle.
There was a presentation of the presence and mission of the Pastorelle in the different countries where we are present in order to make our families aware of the Congregation’s involvement in the different ecclesial, social and cultural realties.
The event was also an occasion to remember our sisters who have gone ahead of us, especially Sr. Cristina Justo who had started the Foundation in the Philippines.
Indeed the day was spent in joy and gratitude, as what the Psalmist exclaimed: Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord!

Very inspiring celebration. Our own families supporting us to live our calling, our sure partners in our ministry because of their spiritual support. May God bless them all. I am very happy to see the many faces of happy Pastorelle.
